Keeeper Group in Stemwede changes owners

The company Keeeper, a leading manufacturer of plastic household products, based in Bohmtes in the neighbouring Westphalian town of Stemwede, is expected to change hands in June. The Wrede Industrieholding from Arnsberg has sold the leading manufacturer of plastic household products in Germany and Eastern Europe in Oppenwehe. The new owner is Mutares AG, an investment company based in Munich. Mutares AG was founded in 2008 by Robin Laik and Axel Geuer. The holding company is listed on the stock exchange. The sale is to be completed by the end of June. The cartel clearance is missing. However, Wrede Industrieholding does not expect any problems here.

The agreement between the Wrede Industrieholding and Mutares covers the complete assumption of the business of the Keeeper GmbH with its subsidiary companies in Poland and Belgium, Michael Sindram of the management of the Wrede Industrieholding communicated. Keeeper will strengthen the portfolio segment "Goods & Services" as a new platform investment. According to Sindrams, group sales for the 2018 fiscal year amounted to approximately 65 million Euro.

More than 500 employees

Keeeper ranks according to industry opinion among the largest European offerers of innovative household products from plastic. With more than 500 employees at its two production sites in Oppenwehe and Bydgoszcz (Poland) and a sales office in Belgium, the Group r serves customers in the DIY, food retailing, wholesale and furniture sectors in around 35 countries worldwide.

The family-run Wrede Industrieholding in Arnsberg is implementing a family decision with the sale of Keeeper. The family had spoken out in favour of disposing of all industrial holdings. As reason a missing follow-up in the management from the family circle was called.
